I proposed to Jennifer on the evening of February 22nd, the 1-year anniversary of our first date. We went out for drinks and dinner, and when we got home I offered to walk Jennifer's dogs, Lulu and Freida. When we returned from the walk, I attached the ring box to Lulu's back and sent her running to find Jennifer. It took Jennifer a few seconds to realize that there was something on Lulu's back, but when she finally did, I opened the box, put the ring on her finger and asked her to marry me. And she said yes! |

Jennifer's Engagement Ring The center stone in Jennifer's engagement ring is a stone called iolite. Iolite was first discovered by the Vikings and was originally called a "Water Sapphire." The name "iolite" comes from the Greek word "ios," which means "violet." Iolite is usually a pale purplish-blue color and it is mined today in India, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Brazil. |
